DIY Beauty Post #1

I love DIY beauty. It's easy, cheap, and customizible! Here are some DIYs I like.

1. Essential Oil Bath Salts
          -1/3 cup Epsom Salts
-5 drops Essential Oil or extract ex. Vanilla, Peppermint... (I like Vanilla and Lemon salts)
          -1 drop Food Coloring (optional)
Place all ingredients in container. Close the container and shake well.
There is a reason they are called "essential oils". You need them for almost everything you see online. I get mine from the Frontier Coop. Some are incredibly strong, so use caution. The Tea Tree and Eucalyptus oils are the only I've encountered that are, but there are probably more.

2. Cooling Face Mist
          -1 part Aloe
          -1 part Water
Place in spray bottle and shake well.
I LOVE this! BEST thing I've EVER DIYed! You can add scen t to it if you want, but I didn't.

3. Blondies Dry Shampoo
          -5 parts Cornstarch
-About 1 part Cocoa Powder (More or less)
Place in container and shake well.
Great thing for oily blondes. My scalp get oily, but my curls look great and I use this instead of washing my hair.

4. Pale Girl's Leg Lotion
          -3 parts Lotion
          -1 part Cocoa
Place in container and shake for a long time.
My skin is paler than a piece of printer paper, so of course is my go to leg lotion.

5. Sugar Scrub
          -1 part Olive Oil
          -1 part Honey
          -1 part Lemon Juice
          -1 part Water
          -3 parts Sugar
Place in container and shake well.
I really like this DIY. It's great for hands and feet.

I hope you like this post. Live long and prosper...

First Post! Jackets for Autumn!

First Post! Jackets for Autumn!

First, welcome to the blog! This is my first post and I want to tell you all about what this blog is about. This blog combines chic with cheap. I'm a girl on a budget with an elegant flair. I find deals and steals, post them, and then you get to enjoy easy shopping at low prices.
Second and more importantly, Fall is coming. We need to start looking for jackets. My three favorite coats/jackets are soooo chic. Top of my list for Fall and Winter is a red sweatshirt material pea coat. It's warm and incredibly soft. I got it from Cato a few years ago. They don't sell it anymore, but I've seen look-a-likes at really good prices. This one is comes in mottled black and mottled gray.

It's priced at $19.99. I'd say that's a steal. The next example is wool, not sweatshirt fleece, but it is extremely cute.

It's $29.99, and comes in black and charcoal. Cute, right?
The next style I want to show you is this denim jacket from Maurices.

At $17.49, it's one of the best buys you'll ever make!
Third on the list is a real find! I found a brown 100% real leather jacket at the thrift store. It's one of a kind, but you really should look at your local thrift store for things like that. I'll do a post for restoring old leather jackets later. Here's one I found on the internet.

It's a bit steep ($29.99), but it's a staple of the well dressed girl.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I hope you liked this post. Tell your friends about my blog.
